If you would like to, you can add a blockchain bootstrap file to your roaming file to speed up the syncing process. To do this, follow the steps listed below.
1. Download the Blitz bootstrap file
2. Follow the instructions below according to your OS. There is also file with instructions included in that download if that is easier for you.
Windows:
3. Use Search to find your roaming folder "%APPDATA%"
4. Open the folder named "blitz"
5. Move the "bootstrap.dat" file from the folder you just downloaded into your "blitz" folder
6. Open the blitz wallet
6a. The wallet will not open until the bootstrap file is finished copying to your blk0001.dat file.
7. Once the wallet GUI opens, remove the bootstrap file which will now have the name "bootstrap.dat.old"
8. Restart the wallet
OS X:
3. In finder, click "command + shift + G" at the same time
4. Type "~/Library/Application Support" then click Go
5. Open the blitz folder
6. Move the "bootstrap.dat" file from the folder you just downloaded into your "blitz" folder
7. Open the blitz wallet
7a. The wallet will not open until the bootstrap file is finished copying to your blk0001.dat file.
8. Once the wallet GUI opens, remove the bootstrap file which will now have the name "bootstrap.dat.old"
9. Restart the wallet
